Live edge slabs are extraordinary, not only because of their unrepeated look but because they take time to be completed and ready for projects. Once we select our logs, they are placed on a sawmill, cutting up to 68” wide slabs. Once cut, we strategically place spacers and allow the wood to dry for about a year. Slabs are then put into a kiln and dried between 8 to 10 % moisture. The final step of the process is placing the slab onto a surfacing machine. Once completed, our live edge slabs are ready for builders, artisans, homeowners, and woodworkers. Once a live edge slab is chosen, it can be used to create beautiful décor and construction materials for custom tables, countertops, and other projects. Live edge slabs are a popular choice in the Boise, Idaho area and River Valley Woodworks provides only the best quality products for your project. Our team also creates custom live edge slab products for commercial and residential properties. From home furnishings to conference tables and countertops, all our live edge slabs are one of a kind and designed specifically for you.
